| Here is my new addition to the Brickfish Social Media Campaigns website. I put this outfit together quickly this afternoon, but I figure I will make more. I really love The Limited, so a shopping spree there would be awesome! So PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!
Go read my articles on eHow, it's a really fun website and you can earn money writing articles for them. It's not much, but if you like to write How to's, each article could generate $1 a month, and if you have 50 articles you know what that means! I've earned 86 cents so far on one article and I wrote it like a week ago. Give it a try, and rate my articles while you're at it. If you do decide to join, friend me and let me know so I can rate and comment on your articles too.
Also, I posted earlier that I had started a shop on Etsy.com. Well, I have decided on a name that is better than Mary Hagerman Designs. It is now going to be called Mar' contraire, which is a take on my nickname and "Mary, Mary Quite Contrary," if you didn't figure that one out!
I'm thinking that I need a new layout, but I'm pretty new at the whole thing. I think I'm going to make a whole new banner and everything. I just want a more classy look. Maybe I'll design the banner and someone can do the code for me? Any takers?
.... I'll end up doing it myself, I need to learn anyway. I mean, my major is Graphic Design so I should get more experience with CSS.

| I recently discovered Etsy.com, which is an awesome shop for handmade items. I have started my own shop, so check it out at Mary Hagerman Designs. I tried to embed some thumbnails but the javascript code won't work. (You would think with all my web design classes I have taken, I would understand what is wrong with it. Oh well.) I've been looking on the site for hours trying to get ideas. It's the night before the Iron Bowl - Alabama vs. Auburn football! I got a free ticket and I am pumped! | | |
| I've added a drawing of Liv Tyler to A Singular Creation's Art Showdown contest for this month. The title of the contest is "Black and White" so go look at the entries and vote for mine!
I'm also working on a t-shirt idea for Threadless, so be looking out for updates on that in the future.
Starting this month, my new goal is to make at least one art project a week that is not for class. The only exception is in case I have big tests and papers that week, and I need to be more focused on those. So far, I have done 2 projects outside of class so I am proud of myself. Last week I entered the Green Fair Art Contest and Auction with a collage that I created with recycled materials. It was very cute and someone placed a bid on it, making that the first piece of art (that I know of) that I have ever sold! Good things have come out of my goal already! I'll post a picture as soon as I get one.
I am on fall break, so I expect to do more than one piece of art this week :)

| I just entered a new campaign at Brickfish for David's Bridal. No, I am not getting married anytime soon, but I am in love with my boyfriend and we have been together for a long time. I'm allowed to dream, right? This contest gives me the chance to win some money for whenever I do have my wedding.
Plus, I was supposed to be working on Photoshop tutorials for my Design Applications class, but the Photoshop on my computer refused to open and all the libraries were closed last night. The only problem I had with this campaign was that it didn't allow me to use Photoshop, just the crappy Entry Editor, but it turned out to be a good thing because mine wouldnt work!
